Our Farm Services
Diamond Crest Farm (DCF) offers the following services:
We are breeders who care about quality, integrity, and service in dealing with our clients. Diamond Crest Farm specializes in breeding and offers intensive state of the art broodmare care and foaling services and cares for foals that need additional medical care. DCF has a resident trained veterinarian on the farm. DCF has 18 large broodmare stalls and a nursery. Stalls are equipped with automatic waterers, heaters, fans, and 24 hour closed circuit color TV. Each broodmare stall is also equipped with high intensity lights, each on its own timer system. Every stall has rubber mats and its own drainage system. Broodmares can have their own individual turnout or group turnout as preferred by the client. There are run-in sheds in the pastures.
We offer both seasonal and year round boarding for mares. We provide special care to each mare and cater to her individual needs, and take every precaution to optimize conception. We are extremely concerned about the health and well-being of the horses in our care. We offer an excellent nutritional program since we believe that good nutrition is the key ingredient to breed and raise healthy performance horses.
In addition to standing our own stallions, we also accept mares that are to be bred via transported semen. Our services include: daily teasing of the mare, handling of the mare for rectal palpation/ ultrasound, contact with the stallion manager, ordering semen, evaluation of semen, and artificial insemination. Diamond Crest Farm also provides monitoring and care for horses that are recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
