Ashley Whisper Waddilove was born at Hendy Stud in Wales, UK, and was imported to the USA. She is registered with both the IDHS(GB) and IDHSNA. She was presented for the IDHS(GB) Mare Inspection in 2001 in England. She achieved 18/20 in the categories of shoulder, barrel & back. Ashley passed her inspection successfully and received SID status.

Ashley placed 4th in the 2 year old IDSH class at the 2001 Midlands Irish Draught Show in Southam, England.

Ashley is sired by the Irish bred Thoroughbred steeplechaser named Mr Waddilove. At age 3, Mr Waddilove was the winner of both the Anz McCaughan Stockmarket Handicap at Haydock Park, England and the Tote Handicap Stakes at Curragh Racecourse in Dublin, Ireland in 1989.

Ashley’s dam’s sire is the RID stallion named Diamond Jake who was a Grade B showjumper and foxhunter in the UK. Diamond Jake draghunted and hunted with the Anglesey Foxhounds. He quickly qualified Newcomers, Foxhunter, Members Cup and was chosen to showjump for Wales, then partnered by Tom Lloyd (aged 16) on the Welsh Young Riders International Team. Tom and Jake actually represented Wales on three occasions, winning 2 Gold and 1 runners-up medal. Tom and Jake jumped for Gwynedd area team in the County Championships in September 1993, winning a Silver Medal at that outing. He also won the Area 20 Foxhunter Trophy, and the Winter League A B + C Trophy at Warrington, Cheshire. Diamond Jake gained 3020 points BSJA showjumping and was rewarded the 1994 2nd Place and 1993 3rd Place in the overall IDHS(GB) Performance Award. He won the first ever IDHS(GB) Performance Horse Pure Bred Trophy in 1993 and again in 1994. He met with a terrible tragic accident at nine years of age in 1994 while out draghunting and was sadly lost. (The Irish Draught Horse Yearbook)
